Aide to the president-elect, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has asked the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections to accept he lost the 2024 elections.
She firmly believes that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s accepting the defeat will help him engage in introspection.
Joyce Bawa was reacting to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s comments on why he conceded defeat before the Electoral Commission declared the results.
She said “Dear Sir,What other options did they have for you other than to concede in the face of a crushingly humiliating defeat! Please accept that you lost the election Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and do some deep introspection. Thank you”.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, while addressing some clergymen who visited him at his residence, indicated that he had to concede early against the wish of some of his team members.
He says he conceded because there was tension in the system and he had to neutralize it.
