First Lady Oluremi Tinubu donates 1000 bags of rice to Kogi Christians

First Lady Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu has donated 1000 bags of 50kg rice to the Kogi chapter of the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum.

The donation, which was flagged off in Lokoja on Wednesday, is set to provide much-needed relief to Christian communities across the state.

During the distribution event, Elder Ibrahim Itodo, the Deputy National Coordinator of the forum, explained that the organization was formed in response to the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket in the last election.

While not opposing the arrangement outright, the forum emphasized the importance of a balanced representation of both major religions for national unity.

The forum, he noted, had decided to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu due to its focus on good governance, capacity, and character, principles they believe are embodied by the First Lady.

Itodo praised Mrs. Tinubu for her recognition of the forum’s efforts, stating that the rice donation would help alleviate some of the hardships faced by Christians during the festive period.

Former House of Representatives member for Adavi and Okehi, Hon. Mohammed Kabir Ajana, also commended the First Lady’s initiative.

He stated that the palliative would provide much-needed support to the Christian communities in the state, easing their financial burdens.

Ajana encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting government policies despite the current challenges, assuring them that better days were ahead.

State Coordinator of the forum, Madueke Aphraim, expressed gratitude to Mrs. Tinubu, describing her as a caring and loving mother.

He assured that the rice distribution would be carefully managed to ensure it reached the key Christian stakeholders across all 21 local government councils in Kogi State.
