NHIA refutes recruitment rumors, assures public of transparency

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has officially debunked claims circulating about ongoing or recent recruitment activities within the organization.

In a firm statement issued by the Chief Executive, Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, the NHIA made it clear that all recruitment exercises were concluded in October 2024.

“We want to assure the general public that these recruitment processes were conducted in strict compliance with the law, relevant regulations, procedures, and best practices,” Dr. Aboagye stated.

“Transparency, fairness, and meritocracy were at the core of the exercise.”

Addressing specific concerns about director-level appointments, the NHIA emphasized that such confirmations fall exclusively under the jurisdiction of the Public Services Commission.

“It is important to note that the Authority has no direct role in these appointments,” the statement clarified.

“Our responsibility is limited to communicating the outcomes to applicants once the Public Services Commission submits its full report.”

The NHIA urged the public to disregard what it described as “false claims or threats” about last-minute recruitment activities.

“We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all our operations,” Dr. Aboagye reiterated.
