It was an eyesore – MP-elect Frimpong on poor infrastructure in Asante Akyem North

The Member of Parliament-elect for Asante Akyem North, Ohene Kwaku Frimpong, has not minced words in criticizing the state of development in his constituency.

Speaking on Hard Talk with Serwaa Amihere, he expressed his dissatisfaction with what he described as a lack of impactful leadership and development under his predecessor.

“The MP was not forthcoming. There was basically a lack of development in the constituency.

“Asante Akyem Agogo, where I was born, is the capital of the constituency. But you could tell if you got into Agogo.

“I know that MPs are not responsible for constructing roads, I understand that, but if your MP is vibrant, he can help lobby for development in the constituency.

“You could tell that there was nothing happening in the constituency,” he lamented.

Ohene Kwaku Frimpong highlighted the state of disrepair at some facilities intended to benefit residents, including a poorly maintained project site he personally visited.

“I personally visited the site, and the floor of where the machines were sitting was not even cemented. It was an eyesore,” he said, expressing disappointment at the neglect of such infrastructure.
