I promised to work with the Majority, and that’s the NDC – Ohene Kwame Frimpong

The newly elected Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North in the Ashanti Region, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has announced his decision to align with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Caucus in the upcoming 9th Parliament.

This declaration has sparked conversations across political circles, given the constituency’s stronghold status with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Ohene Kwame Frimpong explained his rationale, highlighting his earlier commitment to collaborate with the party holding the majority in Parliament in an interview with Asempa FM.

“Before my election, I made it clear that I would work with the party that secures the majority. My goal is to serve my constituents effectively, and this is the best approach to achieving that,” he stated.

Frimpong’s focus, however, is beyond party lines. He stressed the urgent need to tackle unemployment in his constituency, a challenge he considers a top priority.

Drawing from his experience as a successful entrepreneur in the United Kingdom, he revealed plans to introduce his business to Ghana’s market and use it as a tool for job creation.

“I operate a thriving business in the UK, and I aim to replicate this success in Ghana. I plan to attract investors and establish factories in Asante Akyem North.

This initiative alone can employ over 2,000 unemployed youth in our country,” he said, radiating optimism about the transformative potential of his agenda.
