General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, ArchBishop Duncan Williams and his church have prayed for a smooth transition from Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government to John Dramani Mahama’s government.
At church, the preacher called on his congregants to pray for the outgoing president, indicating that nothing must mar the handover process and make it peaceful.
“I want us to pray for the outgoing president that he will exit in peace not in chaos. It is a prayer that we owe him. He’s had two terms that we’ve always prayed on it. Pray for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that his exit will be peace and not chaos. Pray that anything that will cause his exit to be chaos be blocked,” he said while leading his congregants in a time of prayer.

It is not clear why the particular prayer topic took centre stage during the church service.
However, there have been allegations that the president is not willing to hand over power to John Dramani Mahama.
These allegations are made by Political Science lecturer Prof Ransford Gyampo, who in a post on Facebook has insisted that he is privy to information, pointing to the fact that the President intends to declare a state of emergency.
