After the electoral success in the December 7 election, the National Democratic Congress has given the surest indication that they intend to make the Ashanti Region their stronghold.
This was announced by the political party’s National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo at their Thanksgiving Service on December 22, 2024.
To him, what is needed is the hard work in the region, and they will make it their forte.
“All things being equal, God willing, we will turn things around and make the Ashanti Region an NDC stronghold. We are not going to cede the Ashanti Region to the NPP. Now we know that if we work in there, we will get what we are looking for,” he said.
George Opare Addo used the opportunity to also thank the Greater Accra Youth Wing of the political party for the effort they put into ensuring that the political party was brought back to power.
The National Democratic Congress is waiting to take over power in 2025 after John Dramani Mahama is sworn into office.
The political party is expected to lead Ghanaians for the next four years under John Dramani Mahama.
