We haven’t lost the war, only the battle

In the aftermath of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) crushing defeat in the 2024 elections, National Chairman Stephen Ntim addressed party members with a message of resilience, unity, and hope.

Speaking at the NPP Headquarters in Asylum Down, Ntim acknowledged the disappointment felt by party members but urged them to remain steadfast.

“There is no doubt that the outcome of the elections was not what we hoped for. We may not have won the battle, but we haven’t lost the war on our quest for a better Ghana, shaped by the ideals and philosophies of the NPP,” Ntim said.

He acknowledged the frustration and disillusionment many were feeling, particularly the party’s supporters who had poured their energy into the campaign.

“We understand your disappointments because we feel it too, just as the hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians who invested their hopes and dreams in this campaign do,” he added.

However, Ntim’s message was one of encouragement and perseverance.

“We must not let this defeat discourage us,” he said. “Instead, it should galvanize us to work harder, correct our mistakes, and ensure that the NPP regains its footing as the party of choice for Ghanaians.”
