Nora Häuptle questions lack of preparatory games for Black Queens amid reports of leaving Ghana job

Coach of the Black Queens Nora Häuptle has complained bitterly about the lack of preparatory matches ahead of the WAFCON.

To her, comparatively, other competing countries have been playing games to prepare themselves for the tournament.

Nora believes that the other countries are provided with a competitive advantage over the Black Queens.

Her post shared via LinkedIn said “I believe that success is built over continuous development steps of the performance 📈 🏆.

Providing as Nationalteam for our players as many high-performance game exposure as possible is key. Because through this game experiences we can work, learn and grow as individual & team. The difference in the amount of games played in 2024 is huge between the participating teams of the WAFCON ’24 (which will be held in July 2025).

Her post comes after reports in the local media suggest she has rejected a deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The coach is said to have been signed by the Zambian Football Association and will be unveiled next week as the head coach of the side.
