Member of Parliament elect Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has questioned communicators and grassroots of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the diagnosis of their defeat.
He has observed that the same issues they defended for the past eight years are the same issues the party’s communicators are drumming home as the cause of their defeat.
A Plus is therefore shocked that they could not point out these issues while in power to get them rectified to help them keep power.
His post shared via social media said “Suddenly, NPP communicators and supporters seem to have realized all the issues that led them into opposition. Ironically, they’re claiming that the very problems they insulted us for pointing out in the past is what caused their downfall. Just today, I heard an NPP communicator on the radio saying he would guide the NDC government to uncover NPP officials who have stolen from the country. So, for eight years, you knew this, yet you remained silent and even attacked those who exposed it? Incredible!!”
After the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) lost the 2024 elections, the party’s grassroots have been complaining bitterly about the party’s leadership.
They believe that the arrogance of power, neglect, and state capture, among others, are to blame for the party’s loss in the 2024 elections.
Certain quarters are calling for the party to be taken from Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who they believe did not do well as leader of the political party and has taken them back to opposition.
