Haruna Iddrisu has stated that the return of President-elect John Dramani Mahama will mark the end of impunity in Ghana’s governance.
The Member of Parliament for Tamale South while addressing the press, expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for placing their trust in John Mahama and voting him back into power.
He emphasized that Mahama’s leadership would usher in a more humble and accountable administration compared to the previous government, which, he argued, was characterized by arrogance among its ministers and appointees.
“President Mahama will govern with humility and ensure his ministers reflect that same humility,” Haruna Iddrisu remarked.
“He will avoid the abuse of office and impunity we witnessed previously. The emergence of President-elect John Dramani Mahama is to put an end to impunity.
Nana Addo governed with arrogance, often dismissing concerns and walking away as he pleased.”
The Tamale South MP reiterated John Mahama’s commitment to protecting the public purse by cutting unnecessary government expenditures.
He highlighted Mahama’s pledge to streamline government operations by limiting the number of ministers to 60.
“President Mahama will govern with just 60 ministers, as promised. This will save public resources that would otherwise be spent on paying excessive salaries for ministers,” Haruna Iddrisu affirmed.
“For him, it is about protecting the public purse and preserving resources for the benefit of all Ghanaians.”
