A spokesperson of the John Dramani Mahama campaign and aide to the president-elect, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, says the Electoral Commission must be weaned of partisan individuals.
She thought the Electoral Commission Chairperson would have resigned from her position by now considering how incompetent her commission has been.
Joyce Bawa Mogtari’s complaints stem from the elementary mistakes in the recent elections and the confusion the results created just because the EC did not declare the results on time.
“I was thinking the EC Chairperson was going to resign yesterday. We are in a circular state and you spend all this time telling us what to do and what not to do.
My brother, they’ve been incompetent to say the least. There are too many partisans there. When the will of the people is up against you there is nothing that can stop it. One of the reasons why we are experiencing violence is because it took too long for the EC to declare the results,” she said.
To her, “She said it is finished it should be finished for her as well….For these elementary breaches she has no business being there if you ask me. I personally think from a professional perspective that everything that has to do with the EC needs a complete overhaul and hopefully it will form part of the constitutional amendment.
