Deputy Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale has explained that Ghanaians are not against politicians living a lavish life.
According to him, what the Ghanaians are against is the fact that they are struggling while the politician who was handed power to manage the affairs of the country lives like an Arabian king.
Malik Basintale, in an interview on TV3, mentioned Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s use of a private jet at the expense of the Ghanaians, who continued to complain but their concerns were ignored.
Malik Basintale indicated that young Ghanaians are without jobs and cannot make ends meet; however, they see their colleagues who are politicians living the best of lives while they struggle, they will rise.
To him, the NPP’s loss must be a lesson for all politicians.
“If you want t, go and buy a jetski, if you want buy a ship. Ghanaians will say if you have done for us, do for yourself but if you keep doing for yourself and you don’t do for us, we will rise against you,” he said.
