Member of Parliament for Tema West constituency, Carlos Ahenkorah has opined that Ghanaians are not happy with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He says Ghanaians spoke through their votes, and lessons must be learnt even though in the hard way.
While speaking on Accra-based United Television, Carlos Ahenkorah said “Ghanaians are saying we have failed them and I agree with them. If they do this to us, they have sent a signal to us that we have failed us.
They say they are not impressed with our performance. They want things other than hospitals and all the progress they have made. Akufo-Addo’s government has done great with developmental projects but Ghanaians are saying that we did not do good by them,” he said.
Counselling the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, Carlos Ahenkorah reminded them that “they should not think that Ghanaians have voted for them. Ghanaians did not vote against the NPP; rather, they voted against the NPP. So the things we did not do, they should do it. Everything is important.
They have 2/3 in Parliament and can help develop Ghana, so they should do what the people want and better their living conditions. The destiny of the Ghanaian people is now in the hands of the NDC, and if they like, they should say Ghanaians like them and not do what they want, they will be punished the same way the NPP was punished”.
