Wike still PDP member, Adeyanju fumes over Ikenga’s expulsion for anti-party activities

Lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has condemned the expulsion of Ikenga Ugochinyere by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State.

Ugochinyere, a serving lawmaker was expelled on Friday over allegations of anti-party activities among others.

However, in his reaction, Adeyanju said it is unfortunate that the PDP swiftly move to expel the lawmaker who he described as being courageous but has been working with Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory minister.

In a series of posts on X, Adeyanju, a former member of the PDP said the party has become a “useless and worthless opposition”.

He posted, “Imagine the PDP leadership working with Wike to do anti party expelling a courageous House of Rep member like Ikenga Ugochinyere.

“Useless and worthless opposition. Between Damagun, Sam Daddy & Ugochinyere, who is a better opposition leader?” Adeyanju queried.

He further alleged that the lawmaker’s expulsion was orchestrated by moles working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) within the PDP.

He said, “Ikenga Ugochinyere, the courageous one has been expelled for anti party by APC moles who are in charge of PDP but Wike is still a member of the PDP.

“The jokes write themselves daily. The PDP is a dead party awaiting funeral rites,” Adeyanju posted.
