Ghana’s Electoral Commission has provided an update on whether electorates can vote if they do not have their identification cards. The EC has explained how one can vote without a Voter’s ID Card, and you do not need to worry.

Remember without your Voters ID card you can still vote as the Electoral Commission of Ghana is ready to serve you.

In a post shared via social media, the EC indicated that even without voters ID card, registered electorates can vote.

The EC explains that all that is needed is your fingerprints and your face.

This clarification allays the fears of Ghanaians who have misplaced their identification card.

How To Vote Without Voter’s ID Card

The Deputy Head of Research at the Electoral Commission (EC), Fred Tetteh — has reassured all Ghanaians who lost their Voters ID that they can still exhibit their democratic right without ID Card.

Mr. Fred Tetteh assured added that, individuals who as registered voters and knowing their polling stations can go and cast their ballot to exercise their rights.

Going to the polling station without ID card does not prevent you from casting your ballot, as you are eligible to vote.

For Ghanaians to cast their votes, all registered voters would have to verify their identity through fingerprint or facial recognition at their polling station before casting their ballots.
