Calls Grow for Ex-Minister to Contest Abia 2027 Governorship, Unseat Otti

A call has been made by a Civil Society Organization, Abia-17, for Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh to contest the Abia State governorship election in 2027.

The group said it has confidence in Ikoh’s ability to provide good governance for the people of Abia State, having aspired to the position in the past.

The current governor of Abia State is Labour Party’s Alex Otti. However, the group believes that Ikoh has the humane qualities that endear him to Abians, making him an ideal candidate to unseat Otti.

Led by its Coordinator, Chief Godwin Akaraigwe, the group condemned the slow and poor state of development in Abia State during a maiden visit to Chief Ikoh. They emphasized the need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to produce the next Governor of Abia State.

Chief Akaraigwe pointed out that Ikoh’s past aspirations for the governorship position demonstrate his commitment to the state’s development.
