Rev Yaw Owusu Ansah of the Multimedia Group has shamed pastors who are whipping their members not to vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia because he is a Muslim.
To him, if revere men of God who are expected to know better and be religiously tolerant in 2024 think in this direction, then the body of Christ has a grave problem.
His comments come on the back of a pastor who shared a post in a WhatsApp group urging colleague pastors to encourage their members to vote against Bawumia because a Muslim cannot lead Ghana.
“A prominent pastor put a flyer in a WhatsApp group urging other pastors not to vote for a Muslim. I was very disappointed because this is a man of God who leads a big congregation. I am shy for that Pastor. He is discriminating. When we are preaching Christ we don’t discriminate. I have the flyer here, and do you think all of us in that group think the way you think?
You can’t influence people in that negative manner. It is best for you to delete that post even though it has been on the page for a very long time,” he said while speaking on Adom FM.
