Surge in T-shirt demand shows growing support for NPP- Nana Ayew Afriye

Honorable Dr Nana Ayew Afriye, the Member of Parliament(MP) for Effiduase-Asokore has expressed strong confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects for victory in the upcoming elections during a recent interview on Angel FM.

He dismissed claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is gaining ground in the Ashanti Region, emphasizing that the opposition is anxious about their likely defeat.

Afriye cited internal surveys that suggest the NPP will secure a majority in the Ashanti Region, leading to victories in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.

He highlighted a surge in demand for NPP merchandise, particularly t-shirts, as a clear sign of growing enthusiasm among supporters.

“This year, we’ve seen an incredible surge in requests for NPP t-shirts. It shows that people are not just talking about voting; they are eager to show their support,” he stated.

Reflecting on past losses in 2008 and 2012, Afriye noted that voter apathy played a significant role in the party’s defeat.

“Back then, there was a sense of disconnection, but this year, the mood is completely different. People are enthusiastic. They’re ready to vote, and they’re proud to wear the party’s colors,” he said.

Afriye also pointed to the strong relationship between the NPP and the people of the Ashanti Region, which he believes will help the party retain its dominance in the region.

“The people of Ashanti know the NPP. They know the work we’ve done and the promises we’ve kept. They’re not easily swayed by empty rhetoric,” he added.

With growing grassroots support and a surge in enthusiasm, Afriye is confident the NPP will secure another victory in the Ashanti Region and across the country.
