The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has criticized President Akufo-Addo for deceiving God by opting for a mere hole instead of constructing a National Cathedral.
During a campaign tour in Shama, Mahama accused President Akufo-Addo of misleading the local residents by claiming he would provide them with a hospital.
Reflecting on the promise made by Akufo-Addo to God prior to the 2016 elections, Mahama asserted that the president misled God by vowing to build a National Cathedral.
“God entrusted power to Nana Addo when he made the promise of a National Cathedral. Instead, he has only delivered a large dug-out hole in Accra.
“If he can deceive God in such a manner, what makes the people of Shama believe he will fulfill his promise of a hospital?” Mahama remarked while ridiculing the President.
“If Akufo-Addo can trick God with a hole instead of a National Cathedral, what does that say about us?” Mahama further admonished the president.
Additionally, Mahama criticized Nana Addo for neglecting the hospital project initiated by his administration in Shama, assuring the residents that he would resume the hospital project that the NPP had abandoned.
