Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh is optimistic that John Dramani Mahama will contest in the 2024 elections.
He believes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will make history with the 2024 elections and that will force John Dramani Mahama to rerun for the flagbearership in the National Democratic Congress for the fourth time.
Napo as he is affectionately called said this while speaking on Kumasi-based Assafuah Radio.
“John Mahama has made his appearance ready for 2028; that is why he cannot appoint a Vice presidential candidate who will upstage him. John Mahama will come back in 2028 after he has lost the 2024 election,” he said on Kumasi-based Assafuah Radio.
Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2024, to elect new leaders who will steer the affairs of the country.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is hopeful of a win, whereas the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is of the firm belief that they will break the eight-year cycle of political parties in the country.
