CFO Encourages U15 Players to Prioritise Education Alongside Football

Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Collins Kwasi Dei, has advised the Ghana Schools U15 Boys and Girls players to take their studies seriously while pursuing their dreams in football.

His message was delivered during a reception held at the headquarters on Monday to celebrate the teams’ recent success at the WAFU B Schools Football Championship in Niger.

The Ghana Schools U15 Girls team emerged victorious with a Gold medal, while the Boys secured Bronze in a spirited competition. While commending the players for their remarkable achievements, Mr. Dei reminded them of the importance of education as a foundation for a successful future.

“Football is an incredible platform to showcase your talent and make a name for yourselves, but you must not forget the value of education,” he stated.

“It is essential to strike a balance between your studies and football. Knowledge will empower you both on and off the pitch, ensuring you have options in life.”

He further encouraged the young athletes to remain disciplined, focus on their goals, and adopt a mindset of excellence in every aspect of their lives.

The ceremony was held in the presence of other GFA officials, including JoeSalam Abubakar, the 1st Vice Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, and Godwin Gabriel Kwao, a member of the National Juvenile Committee and Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association.

Other officials present were Joseph Tetteh Zutah, Director of Elite Academies, as well as Bernice Sarfo Bempah, Safeguarding Officer.

The GFA leadership reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing young talent, providing the necessary resources and guidance for holistic development, and promoting both academic and athletic excellence.

The message from Collins Kwasi Dei serves as a timely reminder for the players to embrace a well-rounded approach, ensuring they are prepared for success both in football and beyond.
